The Role Based across Health facilities including Kingaroy, Warwick and Dalby, this role delivers a dynamic mix of surgical care, collaboration and community impact. Key responsibilities include: Elective and emergency care within the Acute Surgical Unit Participation in endoscopy and operative lists Inpatient and outpatient surgical services Multidisciplinary collaboration focused on professionalism and patient-centred care Supervision and mentorship of Junior Doctors and Surgical Trainees Contribution to clinical governance and departmental leadership An important component of this position is participation in the Rural Outreach service, travelling to Kingaroy, Warwick and Dalby to: Deliver essential general surgical services Support local clinicians through education and supervision Participate in peer review and quality improvement initiatives Your work will directly strengthen access to specialist surgical care across the region, while being part of a team that genuinely values your contribution. You will receive a competitive total remuneration package ranging from $381,337 (L18) to $476,304 (L27), including: Salary rates from $103.79 (L18) to $131.60 (L27) per hour Motor vehicle allowance Professional development allowance 3.6 weeks professional development leave per annum Regional attraction allowance Professional indemnity cover Private practice arrangements In addition, superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) are applied on top of the total remuneration value.
