About the job We are a small team of supportive and and experienced occupational therapists with 60 years combined paediatric experience working in Australia and overseas. Part time New Graduate role or Experienced therapist role working in our sensory gym equipped clinic in Peakhurst and / or Newington, Sydney. Start part time/ casual hours with flexibility and build to a full time case load, if you want to. New Graduate role paid at above award rates and includes our two year supported new graduate program, including weekly supervision and online training courses as you define your occupational therapy skills and career working with children and families . Part time experienced role paid above award rate or per client for higher rate as well as including $1000 sign on bonus and additional external CPD budget. All roles include weekly then ongoing fortnightly supervision with our experienced therapists. Hopalong is a long established business, providing occupational therapy services to the St George and Inner West community for the past 30 years, with 19 years with the current senior OT and director, Tahnee. Hopalong only employs OT's so we are dedicated to developing your OT skills. We currently have a bespoke team of 3 experienced, positive and supportive occupational therapists. We have an OTA's to assist you in your administration and additional sessions for your clients as well as daily Adminstration support. We specialise in paediatrics and have over 60 years combined experience in paediatrics across the team. We hold quarterly team training nights, wellbeing lunches and socials which have included restaurant dinners, escape rooms, cruises, bowling and mini golf. All therapists commence on our Onboarding Program with KPI's set at an achievable 4 clients per day for the first 3 months. Once confident, KPI's then increase to our maximum of 6 clients per day. You will have: A degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration A cleared WWCC Some experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses such as ASD, DD and/or ADHD but does not have to be in OT A passion for helping children and their families and a keen interest to develop your clinical skills Exceptional communication skills with your clients, parents, manager and the team A proactive approach for your clients and the team and show strong initiative A commitment to develop your skills for assessment and intervention Commitment to the role for a minimum of 2 years Your own car for home and school visits
