We are seeking an experienced Senior Trade Waiter to deliver professional fine dining service and support the execution of front-of-house operations. About the Role As a Senior Trade Waiter, you are responsible for providing high-level table service, managing a designated section of the restaurant, and ensuring guests receive attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service. You will operate under the direction of the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors while contributing to smooth service coordination. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery • Set and prepare tables in accordance with fine dining standards • Greet guests, present menus, and provide detailed explanations of dishes and beverages • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar staff • Serve food and beverages professionally, ensuring correct sequence and presentation • Perform wine service, including bottle presentation, opening, and pouring • Clear tables efficiently and reset for subsequent service Guest Interaction • Provide recommendations on food and beverage pairings • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond appropriately to requests • Handle minor service issues and escalate concerns to management when required Operational Duties • Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately • Assist with reservations and table allocation as directed • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas • Follow responsible service of alcohol requirements • Comply with workplace health and safety and food handling standards Team Contribution • Assist in coordinating service flow within your allocated section • Support junior waitstaff during service • Participate in pre-service briefings and training sessions • Maintain professional presentation and service conduct at all times Skills & Experience Required • Certificate II or III in Hospitality plus at least 1 year of relevant experience, or minimum 2 years’ relevant experience without formal qualification • Demonstrated experience in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant environment • Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques • Strong communication and customer service skills • Ability to work effectively under pressure • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods What We Offer • A senior service role within an established Italian restaurant group • Ongoing training in Italian cuisine and wine service • Competitive remuneration aligned with experience • Staff meals and dining benefits • Career progression opportunities within the group
