The Role Reporting to the Innovation General Manager, this role will lead and coordinate WHS activities across our Innovation Hub in Cooranbong and Futures in Morisset, ensuring best practice safety standards and supporting our commitment to a safe and healthy workplace. This is a part-time role working Monday to Thursday, 34 hours per week, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Key responsibilities include: Leading the Safety function for our Innovation Hub and Futures, providing hands on operational WHS support. Coordinating the WHS program, including systems, controls, procedures, and site audit schedules. Implementing the corporate WHS program, including policies, procedures, systems, and controls. Coordinating the WHS Committee across both sites. Responding to safety incidents and leading investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions. Managing the Recover at Work (RAW) program and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. Preparing WHS reporting, performance metrics, safety notifications, inductions, and toolbox talks. Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and chain-of-responsibility standards. Facilitating updates to safe work instructions and maintaining training records. Driving continuous WHS improvement initiatives across both sites. Collaborate and build strong networks with WHS professionals across the business. About You Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and practical application. Ability to conduct investigations, audits, reporting, and safety analysis. Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders. Confident presenting training, safety briefings, and toolbox talks. Organised, proactive, and able to work across multiple sites. Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or willing to obtain 3–5 years’ experience in a WHS role Hands on operational WHS experience in an R&D, manufacturing, or similar environment. Experience driving WHS process improvements (desirable). Recover at Work qualification (preferred). All applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the legal right to work in Australia.
