Job Overview The Field Operations Technician will be the 'face of GVR AU' on the ground to the customer; accountable for pro-active servicing, first time fix and repairs across GVR products on customer sites. The Technician will also complete general maintenance of products, changing equipment and making minor adjustments as needed to the pump, nozzle and any other product part. Core to the success of this role is the dedication and commitment to safety by the Technician. Responsibilities -Field Operations work: successfully completing a variety of product breakdown and repair jobs as well as any other associated service jobs/tasks. -Calibration of pumps & testing: checking, troubleshooting and testing the pumps to ensure that the fluid coming from the pumps matches the amount on the display. Assisting in testing activities of fuel systems & pumps. -Field Operations job documentation: completion of all job completion associated documentation (service report, safety documents, etc). -100% commitment to safety: working safely on the customer site, acting as a representative of Gilbarco Veeder - Root to customers. -Works with a safety mindset and acts with integrity; you're consistently focused on keeping yourself and other safe, using sound judgement and operating with transparency and trust -Strong trade; industry experience -Good experience working with various tools, machinery and MHE -Pro-active, process & detail oriented -Mechanically minded and developed fault finding skills -Solid prioritisation, time & stakeholder management skills Work Environment: -Mostly works independently, driving a company-provided vehicle to multiple customer sites, including service stations, truck stops, and commercial fuelling locations. -Primarily field-based, requiring frequent travel and mobility throughout the workday. -Works predominantly outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions such as sun, rain, wind, heat, and cold. -Regularly exposed to hazardous materials such as fuel vapours and chemicals, as well as electrical equipment, necessitating strict adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). -Operates in a high-risk environment with ongoing safety considerations including traffic management on-site, noise, vibrations, and uneven or slippery surfaces. -Requires professional interaction and communication with customers, site staff, and the public. -Utilizes a range of tools, machinery, and digital devices to complete servicing, repairs, and documentation efficiently and safely.
