We are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager with a strong track record of securing and managing government contracts to work for this well known and sort after company. This is not a transactional sales role. This is strategic, long-cycle, high-value business development. You will: Identify and secure government opportunities across local, state and federal departments Lead and manage complex tender submissions from qualification through to award Navigate procurement frameworks and compliance requirements Build trusted relationships with procurement officers, technical stakeholders and key decision-makers Manage pipelines with commercial discipline within the marine industry Work cross-functionally with operations, technical and finance teams to deliver compelling, compliant submissions Continue to work with the existing portfolio of government business ⚓ What You Bring Proven experience selling into government and public sector markets Demonstrated success in winning and managing government tenders Strong understanding of procurement frameworks and compliance processes Experience within marine, maritime, defence, infrastructure or heavy industrial sectors Commercial acumen with strong contract negotiation skills High attention to detail — especially within tender documentation Ability to manage long sales cycles with resilience and persistence Preferably you will have a boat license You are strategic, patient and politically aware, a strong relationship builder, who will look after existing contracts as well as bring on new ones. You may not have worked in the marine industry before, but have a keen interest and passion for boats and marine products. You understand how to build influence — not just chase opportunities.
