What you'll contribute to: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Services Engineer to join the QAL team. In this role, you will provide portfolio-wide technical leadership, coordination and assurance for major services infrastructure across all QAL airports. You’ll act as QAL’s internal technical authority for integrated airport services infrastructure (including electrical power and distribution, fire, water, sewer, communications and stormwater systems), taking a holistic, system-wide view that considers interdependencies between networks, operational criticality, resilience, capacity growth and long-term asset performance. This role supports the planning, design and delivery of capital projects by partnering closely with Project Managers—strengthening outcomes through informed advice and assurance—while maintaining separation from end-to-end delivery accountability held by Project Managers. How will you make an impact? Provide specialist services engineering input into Master Plans, Development Plans and long-term capital planning activities across all QAL airports. Assess and validate services capacity, staging, redundancy and future-proofing assumptions to support long-term growth, operational resilience and Net Zero objectives. Provide technical input into Project Proposals and Business Cases, ensuring services scope, risks, interfaces and whole-of-life implications are clearly defined and understood. Provide services engineering review and assurance to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, operational, ESG and QAL standards. Coordinate and integrate services disciplines across projects, including interfaces with existing assets and live airport operations. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning where complex services interfaces, risks or changes arise. Resolve services-related design, constructability or operational issues without assuming end-to-end delivery accountability. Provide timely technical advice, briefing notes and assurance reports to stakeholders. Reduce the risk of stranded assets, duplicated upgrades and inefficient retrofits through early, portfolio-wide technical integration across projects.
