As Operations Manager – Energy, Oil & Gas, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-value projects safely, on time, and to specification. Based in Teneriffe, Brisbane, you will lead multidisciplinary teams across all phases of project delivery, with travel to project sites as required. Your leadership will directly contribute to our ability to secure impactful projects and ensure M2P’s continued success and growth as an industry leader. This is a rare opportunity for a senior operations leader to drive high-value energy projects with tangible strategic impact. You’ll work across a strong project pipeline in emerging oil and gas markets, managing a diverse range of operational and strategic responsibilities. You’ll make an impact by: ● Driving the successful delivery of projects on schedule, safely, and within budget ● Leading operational excellence and continuous improvement ● Aligning people, performance, and governance to achieve strategic objectives ● Coordinating resources, stakeholders, and subcontractors effectively ● Mentoring and developing high-performing teams What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you will have: ● Proven experience in the oil and gas sector within a contractor environment ● 5–10 years in senior operational roles (Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Director) ● End-to-end accountability for multiple project deliveries, including ECI, construction, commissioning, and completions ● Expertise across SMP disciplines ● Strong commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management capability ● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, P6 Primavera, and Microsoft Project Ideally, you will also have: ● Structural, mechanical and piping background ● 10 years’ experience in construction-related environments, ideally within the energy sector ● Experience in remote or high-risk operational environments ● Hands-on understanding of multidisciplinary project coordination ● Strategic, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset Why M2P Engineering?
