About the Role: The People & Culture Advisor is a trusted partner and key contributor to delivering an exceptional employee experience at Energy Safe Victoria. This role works closely with the Senior P&C Business Partner to provide high-quality people advice, supports leaders to build capability, and drive people initiatives that strengthen culture, engagement, and organisational performance. Working collaboratively across the People & Culture division, the Advisor supports the design, delivery and continuous improvement of people practices, policies and programs. The role also contributes to priority projects aligned to Energy Safe's People Strategy, including workforce capability, inclusion, performance development, and employee engagement. You will contribute by: Provide timely, accurate and solutions focused HR advice to leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle. Partner with the Senior P&C Business Partner to support business areas with workforce planning, organisational change, and people related risks. Apply contemporary HR practices, legislation and Energy Safe's Enterprise Agreement to guide decision-making on people and employment matters. Maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders to enhance the division's influence, effectiveness and people's experience of HR services. Manage cyclical performance and salary review processes in line with policies, including progression and top of salary band, probation and performance planning, ensuring timely and seamless delivery, and proactively escalating risks or issues as appropriate to the Senior P&C Business Partner. Assist with case management of people matters (Work Cover, Performance Management, grievances) as directed by the Senior P&C Business Partner. Assist and contribute to the development and implementation of P&C projects and initiatives as required. Support reviews, updates, and effective implementation of P&C policies to ensure clarity, compliance and alignment with relevant legislation and government policy frameworks. Support with employee and industrial relations matters including Enterprise Agreement preparation, consultation and documentation Partner with hiring managers to build diverse, capable and values-aligned teams, managing end-to-end recruitment processes to ensure positive candidate experience. Other duties as required to support the Senior P&C Business Partner and the broader People & Culture division. To be successful, you'll have: • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Demonstrated experience providing contemporary HR advice and support within a business partnering or advisory context. • Strong understanding of employment frameworks, policies and legislation and industrial agreements. • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to deliver initiatives from concept to implementation. • High level of judgement, discretion and problem-solving capability. • Adaptable, proactive and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex content into clear, practical guidance. • Experience in the Victorian public sector or a regulatory environment.(desired) How to apply Please refer to the available position description to assess your suitability and submit your current resume and cover letter via the Apply button.
