Operating from its warehouse and distribution facility in Lonsdale, the company sources products directly from international manufacturers and supplies retailers, wholesalers, and community businesses across South Australia. The company’s operations combine import coordination, warehouse storage, order fulfilment, and local delivery distribution to ensure products move efficiently from suppliers to customers. Our business manages a catalogue of internationally recognised brands alongside its own in-house product lines, supporting retailers with consistent stock availability and reliable wholesale supply. Warehouse dispatch and local delivery logistics form an important part of daily operations, requiring dependable vehicle operation, safe freight handling, and coordinated delivery scheduling. To support these activities, the business requires a Truck Driver (General) to assist with warehouse distribution and local delivery functions within its supply chain operations. Position Overview The Truck Driver (General) is responsible for operating company light trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently between the warehouse, customer delivery locations, and logistics partners. The role forms part of the company’s warehouse and distribution function and supports daily delivery scheduling and dispatch coordination. The position requires the ideal candidate to be well versed with safe driving practices, careful handling of freight, and accurate completion of delivery documentation. The role contributes to maintaining delivery reliability, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring goods move efficiently through the company’s supply chain. Key Responsibilities • Operating Kiah International’s company trucks (approximately 4-tonne capacity) to transport goods between warehouse and delivery locations • Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle safety checks to ensure roadworthiness • Loading, securing, and unloading goods in accordance with safe handling procedures • Assisting warehouse staff with dispatch preparation and delivery coordination • Planning delivery routes within metropolitan and regional S.A. areas to meet delivery schedules • Completing delivery documentation including signed delivery notes • Monitoring vehicle condition and reporting maintenance requirements • Liaising with warehouse staff and customers during delivery activities • Ensuring goods are transported safely to prevent damage during transit • Maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles • Supporting efficient warehouse distribution operations Skills and Experience Requirement i. Valid Australian Driver’s Lisence, suitable for operating company delivery trucks ii. At least one year of experience driving light trucks or delivery vehicles in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery environment iii. Understanding of WHS compliance, safe loading, unloading, and freight handling practices iv. Ability to complete delivery documentation such as delivery notes accurately v. Ability to work independently while coordinating with warehouse and dispatch staff Preference will be given to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents. Desirable Attributes i. Experience working in warehouse distribution or logistics environments ii. Familiarity with workplace health and safety (WHS) practices in warehouse and delivery operations iii.
