The business is involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises such as grain, compost and feed mill operations. We are currently seeking a skilled individual to fill this role in a full-time capacity, based in Pittsworth, QLD. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance functions in accordance with the engineering maintenance plan, documenting all work accurately. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults, repairing or replacing components, and restoring operations to minimise production downtime. Analyse equipment failures, identify root causes, and recommend improvements, circuit modifications, or system design enhancements to improve reliability and efficiency. Interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements relating to electrical systems, switchgear, motors, and control equipment. Determine appropriate configuration and arrangement of circuits, transformers, switchgear, control panels, cabling and protective devices to support safe and efficient plant operations. Support the design, installation, commissioning and upgrade of electrical control systems, signalling equipment, PLC systems and telemetry solutions across grading and associated facilities. Liaise with engineering and equipment suppliers regarding product development, electrical components, motors, and system modifications, ensuring integration aligns with operational and compliance requirements. Assist in planning and managing electrical resources required for new installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects, including establishing delivery and installation schedules for machinery, cables, switchgear and fittings. Supervise and support the operation and maintenance of plant electrical systems, distribution boards, and industrial equipment to ensure safe, compliant and efficient performance. Utilise the MEX Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for accurate record keeping, work order management, asset tracking and parts requisition. Manage tools, spare parts, and materials effectively, ensuring availability for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Communicate and collaborate with production and operations staff to align maintenance activities with production requirements and minimise disruption. Maintain compliance with engineering standards, WHS regulations, electrical licensing requirements, and company policies, ensuring all work meets specifications and safety standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and, where required, participate in technical research and evaluation of power systems, motors, switchgear, control systems and automation technologies to support long-term operational efficiency. Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a safe, clean, and organised condition in line with workplace health and safety practices. Provide guidance and training to operators and production staff on equipment care, electrical safety awareness, and correct fault reporting procedures. About You: Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field. Minimum 3 years post graduate relevant work experience in Electrical Engineering or related field.
