Job Description We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries and desserts that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for excellence. Prepare and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods Assist in developing new menu items and refining existing recipes Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in the pastry kitchen Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs for pastry ingredients and supplies Train and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering their skill development Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef to maintain kitchen efficiency Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items Contribute creative ideas for special events and seasonal menu changes Adapt to changing priorities and maintain efficiency during peak service times Stay current with pastry trends and techniques to continually improve our offerings.
