Company: ConsultANZ is looking for a Senior Geospatial Specialist in a Civil Construction project in Auckland. Main Duties: Lead complex GIS and geospatial projects, including design, implementation, and maintenance of GIS databases and applications. Conduct advanced spatial analysis and modeling to inform planning and engineering decisions. Develop automated workflows using tools like FME or Python scripts to streamline GIS processes. Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and interactive maps for presentations and reporting. Advise project teams on GIS best practices, data standards, and geospatial technology solutions. Mentor junior GIS or geospatial staff. Explore and implement emerging geospatial technologies, including AI integration, 3D mapping, and web GIS solutions. Requirements: 5 years of experience in GIS or geospatial roles. Strong expertise in ESRI suite: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online. High-level knowledge of spatial analysis, FME, Python, SQL, or similar GIS tools. Experience managing web/mobile GIS applications (Geocortex Essentials is highly regarded). Strong cartographic and visualization skills for large-scale, high-quality mapping. Often requires a tertiary qualification in GIS, Geography, IT, or related field.
