Join our friendly team that contributes towards providing a valuable service to your community The Bus Detailer / Yard Hand is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of buses to ensure they are safe, presentable, and meet company and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive experience for passengers and supporting the overall upkeep of the fleet. Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager this position will have the responsibilities for the following: Clean and detail bus interiors, including floors, seats, windows, & dashboards Wash and detail bus exteriors using appropriate cleaning equipment and products Perform basic inspections and report damage, safety issues, or maintenance needs to supervisors Safely operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuums, and automatic wash systems Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures Maintain cleanliness of the depot or detailing area Meet cleaning schedules to ensure buses are ready for service on time Ensure smart working practices are followed so that an efficient and high level of cleaning is maintained. Promote and portray a positive image for the Company Be helpful, polite knowledgeable and resourceful Provide and maintain a safe workplace in accordance with OHS policies and procedures Undertake duties as directed by the supervising officer To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: Demonstrated, well-developed personal communication skills Have high standards and is efficient and thorough Has the ability to listen and communicate well Has excellent time management skills Has the ability to develop routines and follow procedures to ensure all areas of the building, workspace and fleet vehicles are maintained to a high level of cleanliness. Familiar with MSDS and OHS policies Has a good knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Minimum of C class License essential. (LR licence or higher an advantage) Previous vehicle detailing or cleaning experience preferred (training may be provided) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Basic understanding of workplace safety practices This is an excellent opportunity.
