Cups of Tea, Canines & Cosy Crafts! Are you someone who enjoys a relaxed chat, a love of dogs, and the comforting click of knitting needles? A lovely elderly lady is looking for a friendly volunteer to pop in for a 30-minute cuppa and chat on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday afternoons. She has a big heart and a lifelong love of dogs, sewing, and knitting, and would truly enjoy sharing stories, patterns, and maybe even a few dog tales with a kind companion. Whether you’re a fellow dog enthusiast, a crafting fan, or simply someone who enjoys good conversation over tea, your visit could make a meaningful difference to her week. What she’d love: • A friendly face and warm conversation • Sharing stories about dogs • Chatting about sewing and knitting projects • A relaxed 30-minute afternoon cuppa Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that mean the most. If you have half an hour to spare and a caring nature, this could be the perfect way to brighten someone’s day — including your own. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxFDDi9bS6c HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, supporting people to live in their homes and maintain their independence.
