The key duties of the position include The Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) Unit plays a lead role in reporting on family, domestic and sexual violence in Australia and driving priority data development. As part of the FDSV reporting team, you will have an opportunity to influence and strengthen the evidence base that informs policy and public understanding. The team is responsible for maintaining, updating and enhancing the AIHW's FDSV website . The website brings together a range of national data and analytical products, identifies data gaps, and reports on outcomes under the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children. In this role, you will contribute to new analyses and insights, including use of linked data, and work closely with content authors within the unit. You will also play a central role in managing the flow, storage, transformation and presentation of national data used in the site. Under general direction from an EL1 supervisor, you will: Apply analytical and technical skills to manage, analyse and visualise data, and generate insights. Provide advice, expertise and options on a range of analytical and/or technical matters. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including data custodians and data specialists. Effectively communicate technical information to different audiences with varied levels of technical knowledge and expertise. Work effectively and collaboratively in a team and to deadlines.
