The EL2 Project Director within the Remote Services Branch is accountable, under broad direction, for leading and delivering complex and sensitive operational outcomes that support the NDIA's strategic and service delivery objectives. As a leader within the branch, the EL2 Project Director provides strategic direction and oversight across a broad range of activities, exercising delegated authority to manage significant issues, risks and competing priorities. The role is responsible for setting direction for their work areas, including workforce planning, resource and financial management, performance management, and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance. The EL2 Project Director operates with a high degree of independence and professional judgement, coordinating and assuming responsibility for the delivery of highly complex or sensitive projects and work programs of strategic and operational significance. They work collaboratively across the NDIA and with external stakeholders to achieve outcomes, influence decision making, and contribute to the ongoing development of organisational capability. The key duties of the position include Leading, enabling and motivating a team to fulfil their roles to a high standard, ensuring team members are equipped with the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles. Developing, implementing and sharing best practice processes to ensure operational efficiency and outcomes. Leading quality assurance processes internally and as part of the wider Agency quality focus. Leading the alignment of the operational functions of service delivery and enabling services. Leading and managing change into New Framework Planning, including supporting teams through transition and implementing updated processes. Facilitating detailed project plans and adhering to a project management framework, considering risks, status reporting and review. Overseeing the management, coordination and drafting of executive and ministerial briefs, media requests, correspondence and reports. Overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the branch can deliver the operating model within the allocated administrative budget.
