The Opportunity: Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Communications Advisor to join the team. Reporting to the VP Corporate Affairs, you will support the Corporate Affairs team to protect and enhance the company’s reputation as the only commercial producer of Light and Heavy Rare Earth oxides outside of China, through impactful communications and relationships. This is a permanent role, based in Perth, with regular visits to our WA operating sites as required. As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will: Work collaboratively to develop accurate and engaging communications for internal and external audiences. Create and manage content for Company channels including intranet, website and social media, to support Lynas’ business priorities. Support proactive and reactive media relations, including drafting media releases, managing media enquiries, coordinating responses and monitoring daily media coverage. Assist with preparation and production of Annual Report, Sustainability Report & Modern Slavery Report, and ESG surveys. Review content for accuracy and consistency with Lynas’ brand and strategy. Manage corporate photo library and coordinate graphic designers, photographers and video producers as needed. Assist with community engagement efforts including events and sponsorships. Plan and support corporate events including site visits, information booths, and investor events as required. What you will bring to the team: Minimum 5 years’ experience working across both internal and external communications, including media relations, in a medium-large organisation (preferably mining) Desired experience in: Project managing ESG/financial reporting requirements Event management Advertising/marketing collateral development Community engagement Qualifications and/or Skills: Bachelor’s Degree qualification in communications or other relevant degree Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Excellent writing and verbal communications skills. Ability to develop engaging communications and identify newsworthy stories. Demonstrated ability to influence and engage key stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team. Positive approach with a desire to learn, find solutions and take on new opportunities. Strong attention to detail, including editing, brand management. Proven ability to adapt and deliver high quality work at pace and to deadline Track record of project delivery.
