The Role As the WHS Officer you will report in to the WHS Team Leader. Working in a small team, you will enjoy the opportunity to work independently, whilst experiencing excellent support from your manager. This job is a great chance to either further your existing skills in WHS or to step in to this role if you have an interest in the area and some industry work experience. This is a very varied role with lots of opportunity to influence stakeholders and support employees to work safely. You will enjoy the flexibility this role offers, coupled with the chance to be out and about meeting different people every day in your role. Responsibilities The responsibilities for this role include: Identifying and helping to manage risk including working with stakeholders to implement control measures WHS Documentation activities Supporting workplace investigations and corrective actions Promoting a positive safety culture Develop and participate in toolbox talks Creation and delivery of safety and incident alerts Continuous improvement and team support activities Track and measure cost savings in your relevant area About you This role would suit either a person with a couple of years WHS experience or someone who has strong industry experience who is looking to move in to a WHS role. WHS qualifications or a willingness to undertake are an important part of the role. It is critical you have strong consulting and listening skills and are able to adopt a customer centric approach when managing issues. You will have a Class C Drivers License and are able to work a flexible shift on a 35 hour week between the hours of 7am and 5pm, subject to confirmation with the employer.
