Are you an experienced CSO who enjoys the numbers side of the business? Perhaps you’ve worked in financial planning and enjoy compliance, systems and accounts — but would prefer a role that is more internal-focused, structured and autonomous, without heavy client contact. This is a key internal support role within a well-established financial services firm, designed to help the practice operate proactively rather than reactively. The Role Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you will provide internal compliance, accounts and operational support across the business. This is not a client-facing advisory role — advisers manage client relationships. Your focus will be ensuring the practice runs smoothly, remains compliant and maintains strong internal systems. Compliance & Practice Support Assist advisers with maintaining review systems, reminders and documentation integrity Conduct compliance spot checks and mini file audits Support fee disclosure processes and ensure required documentation is on file Maintain up-to-date SOAs and supporting documentation Ensure client ID and compliance records are current Maintain a clean and accurate CRM database (Salesforce – bespoke system) Accounts & Payroll Support Data entry and reconciliation in Xero Process payroll via CloudPayroll (weekly and monthly) Maintain HR and internal business records Liaise with external accountants regarding reporting and lodgements Assist with internal reporting and data management Coordinate documentation for business events, sponsorships and submissions About You You will ideally bring: Previous experience as a Client Services Officer (CSO) within financial services Strong numerical ability and attention to detail Prior experience using Xero (highly regarded) Confidence supporting payroll and internal accounts processes Strong MS Office skills and ability to manage and manipulate data A proactive, organised and autonomous working style Demonstrated experience improving systems and creating efficiencies You enjoy working behind the scenes , take ownership of your responsibilities, and have the nous to keep a business structured and compliant.
