About the Role The HR and Payroll officer will be supporting the service delivery of HR and payroll policy, systems and processes. The incumbent offers guidance on policy adherence and resolves complex payroll issues. Through cross-functional collaboration, they support the delivery of high-quality HR and payroll solutions and services. Good knowledge and understanding of HR and payroll policies, procedures, and practices. Ability to interpret and convey specialist HR concepts and policies to diverse stakeholders. Effective problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate operational service queries. Provides support and advice on payroll and recruitment, school workforce performance and development, HR data analysis and reporting Implements and manages a range of workforce supply initiatives to increase supply and distribution of teachers across Victoria, providing targeted support to schools experiencing workforce challenges Manages the industrial environment for the schools workforce and employee relations matters and the appointment processes for the Merit Protection Boards and the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
