As a Senior Program Officer, you will contribute to the efficient and effective management of programs and projects applying professional and operational knowledge to recommend development and management initiatives of programs focusing on outcomes for clients. What you will be doing: Ensure effective strategic and operational management of programs delivered by the department or by funded third parties. Monitor, evaluate and report against performance outcomes for programs and ensuring compliance to necessary departmental requirements. Apply project management frameworks to successfully deliver projects. Assist in the timely preparation of accurate and high quality ministerial and executive correspondence. Liaise and work collaboratively across the department, with other government agencies and other stakeholders to support the management of programs. Use strong interpersonal communication to contribute to the culture and standard for effective team communication to facilitate positive team performance and high levels of motivation and satisfaction. While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, experience in implementing social policy and an operational knowledge of the housing and homelessness sectors, including domestic and family violence systems is desirable.
