Applications Close: 09/03/2026 We are seeking EOI for a Occupational Therapist - Paediatric Clinical Supervisor Position: Paediatric Clinical Supervisor Location: Remote Job Type: Casual We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor - Paediatric Occupational Therapy to join our team. The Child Health Team at Holstep Health comprises experienced and passionate Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Audiologist and Allied Health Assistant working collaboratively to respond to the developmental needs of young children in the Banyule and Merri-bek regions of metropolitan Melbourne. Holstep Health is committed to continuous quality improvement and supports clinical staff to engage with external clinical supervision on a regular basis. Your hours for this role are flexible to suit your availability and will be between 3 - 6 business hours per month. YOUR NEW ROLE: • Provide guidance to Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians to support their safe and effective clinical practice that reflects current best evidence • Facilitate the application of new knowledge and skills into practice • Support Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians in their development and accomplishment of professional goals and objectives • Support Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians to review, reflect on, and evaluate own clinical practice • Work effectively under the direction of the Child Health Team Leader. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: • Creating a safe and supportive environment and reciprocal professional relationship built on mutual respect and trust • Establishing your supervision relationship including a formal agreement for working together • Encouraging Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians to think reflectively and critically to explore options together • Providing guidance to Paediatric Occupational Therapy Clinicians, as required, to support their safe and effective clinical practice • Using your expertise and insight to guide staff to manage complexity and facilitate alternative courses of action based on the client's needs and preferences • Facilitating the application of new knowledge and skills into practice • Recognising how own supervisory style influences staff experiences of the supervision process, and act to reduce any negative impacts • Supporting Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians in their development and accomplishment of professional goals and objectives • Supporting Paediatric Occupational Therapy clinicians to review, reflect on, and evaluate their own clinical practice • Promoting a culture in which clinical supervision is treated as part of the core business of contemporary professional practice • Identifying and communicating practice issues to the Team Leader and discuss/implement strategies and timelines for improvement • Fostering a culture in which timely and constructive feedback is used as a strategy to enhance goals, awareness, and learning, and is a positive experience for those involved • Providing regular reports to management as per Holstep Health Supervision Procedure and be accountable for providing a safe clinical practice. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: • Approved graduate degree in Occupational Therapy with post-graduate further qualifications highly regarded • Credentialed Paediatric Occupational Therapist • Registration with AHPRA • Current or previous role as a Grade 3 (or equivalent) as well as experience in clinical supervision • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to be organised and prioritise time for structured supervision sessions • Demonstrated ability to use knowledge, experience and an understanding of the supervision framework to effectively support supervisees • Motivating and positive attitude • Demonstrated ability to reflect on own practice and be a valuable model to supervisees •Ability to write clear and concise reports and other correspondence • Sound understanding of Occupational Therapy code of practice, standards, and other essential requirements • Be familiar with the Child Safe National Standards and MARAM frameworks.
