About us We’re Littlepay - a growing fintech headquartered in Melbourne with operations in the UK, EU, LATAM, USA, and Australia. Our payments platform enables our customers to pay for public transport using any payment card, mobile wallet, or wearable device. Processing over USD 1 billion a year in 19 countries and continuing to expand globally, we’re proud to move more people through better payment experiences. About the opportunity You’ll join a Product Engineering team working on Littlepay’s high‑performance transaction processing systems. If you enjoy digging into tricky production issues, learning how systems behave in the real world, and partnering with teams to make products easier to run, you’ll feel at home here. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, support, and operations. You’ll work closely with product engineering teams and customer-facing teams to keep Littlepay’s platform reliable and to help everyone learn from day-to-day production signals. What you will do in this role As Littlepay scales, so does the complexity of running a global payments platform. At the moment, this role is focused on: Working with engineers and support teams to improve the operability and supportability of our products and integrations. Using logs, metrics, and traces to proactively detect issues and protect key performance indicators and SLAs. Building and maintaining tooling for monitoring and alerting so teams can respond quickly and confidently. Investigating and resolving issues related to customer API integrations and transit payment processing flows. Supporting integration projects and launch activities, including guiding third parties on effective platform usage. Contributing to problem management processes and practices. You are likely a match if you have 3 years of experience in application support, production support, or a similar role supporting cloud-based applications. SQL skills, with experience using data, logs, and observability tools to troubleshoot issues. Working knowledge of REST APIs and testing tools such as Postman. Experience supporting incident response and problem management practices. Clear written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary stakeholders. Ability to prioritise and stay effective when work gets busy. Ability to learn new systems and share knowledge to help others move faster. From a technology standpoint, you’ll work with Cloud infrastructure and services (including AWS). Observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, dashboards). API tooling and integration test tools (for example, Postman). SQL databases and data analysis workflows. Scripting and application languages used to build support tooling and automation.
