Permanent, Full Time Position available with the benefit of a 9 Day Fortnight Commencement Band 2 – $71,306 per annum inclusive of any applicable allowances plus super Different functions attract additional allowances Earn additional $$$ through guaranteed overtime About the role This role is within the Street Cleaning Unit of the Waste & Street Cleaning Team and is responsible for operating various plant including Street Litter Compactors, Heavy and Medium Rigid Trucks as well as carrying out manual cleaning using hand tools including shovels, rakes, leaf blowers and brush cutters. The commencement salary for this role is Band 2 - $71,306 per annum inclusive of any applicable allowances plus statutory superannuation. There are opportunities to undertake different functions which will attract additional allowances and there is also an opportunity to earn additional dollars through guaranteed overtime. Key Selection Criteria: Qualifications and experience as listed in the position description. Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values. Demonstrated experience in an operational, cleaning or a works role operating plant, undertaking manual handling and utilising tools (or relatable experience). Demonstrated experience in operating small trucks, sweepers, street vacuums or related plant. Demonstrated experience working as a positive member of a team. Possess a Victorian Driver’s Licence endorsed to Heavy Rigid standard. Demonstrated ability to work to a rotating seven-day roster, work regular overtime, procedures, schedules and fill out appropriate daily and weekly forms. Demonstrated experience complying with and working to Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
