Swan Transit is currently seeking applications for a Fixed Term Part-Time Bus Service Officer to work at Canning Bridge & Curtin Central Station . This role will be based on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension pending future requirements. About the Role We are looking for customer service–focused individual with a strong commitment to safety and a passion for providing the best possible experience for our customers. This is a Monday to Friday fixed-term, part-time position averaging approximately 32.5 hours per week, supporting our customers during key peak travel periods. Shifts are based at Canning Bridge Station covering the morning peak from 7:00am to 10:00am and at Curtin Central Station covering the afternoon peak from 3:15pm to 6:45pm . This position will report to the Beckenham Depot. Main duties and responsibilities will include: Answering passenger questions about services, transport connections, how to get to local attractions and ticketing; Monitoring and ensuring Bus Services operate in a coordinated and orderly fashion in accordance with the approved Timetable; Ensure Bus Services connect with other Transperth Services in compliance with the approved Timetable; Driver support and assistance when requested; Conditions: Uniform provided About You Must have your own reliable transport and licence. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Ability to assess situations and make quick and practical decisions. Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts. Skills, Qualifications & Experience Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills and clear telephone manner Excellent knowledge of Metropolitan area and bus networks. Be able to obtain a Working with Children Card and a National Police Clearance Certificate.
