Partnering with stakeholders in Operations, Sales and Corporate this role is crucial in driving the ongoing success of the wider business. As a Finance Business Partner, you will be looking for a diverse range of work, at one of the world’s large recycling, service, and water companies. You will be working as part of a small team and assist in the preparation of month end reporting, financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, and analysis of operational metrics for the Queensland sites, in accordance with the group accounting principles. The successful candidate would have a proven track record in finance partnering with non-financial stakeholders. This role will be based at our Rocklea office location. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Finance partnering for a variety of stakeholders in Operations, Sales and Corporate. Management reporting and analysis, including month end reporting and P&L commentary to meet corporate deadlines Ensuring the day-to-day functions of the Admin/Finance team are completed including but not limited to raising ad-hoc invoices, reporting, submitting journals, and GL & other reconciliations Budgeting and forecasting including analysing and reporting variance against budget and forecasts and assisting to prepare forecasts and annual budget Assisting further development, analysis, maintenance and distribution of monthly performance reports, reporting dashboards and KPI systems Monitoring developments in the business & initiate data capture, analysis & reporting Identifying performance improvement strategies and investigate process improvements to add value across the whole organisation Assisting and supporting the Commercial & Finance Team Leader Be involved in continuous improvement of existing business systems and reporting processes Business modelling and customer tenders About you We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner with: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial operations facing role (ideally logistics, heavy industry, mining, construction, earthmoving industries) Tertiary qualification in Finance , Accounting or Business Administration CA/CPA qualified Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (advanced referencing formulae, financial modelling, ability to build models bottom up, can use excel efficiently to finish tasks in a timely manner) Highly interested in business partnering , commercial accounting , data analytics and process/performance improvement Strong knowledge of accounting standards and conventional management accounting/reporting practices Strong knowledge of financial accounting procedures and practice Advanced skills in P&L Analysis and budgeting/forecasting Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word Strong time management skills and ability to complete work to competing deadlines Large ERP experience SAP, JDE, Oracle, Dynamics 365 preferred Proficient in the use of BI tools like TM1/ Planning Analytics/ Power BI/ Hyperion to perform quick analysis What we're offering Competitive salary A supportive learning environment with mentorship Great career opportunities How to apply If you feel you would be suited to the position and wish to join the team at REMONDIS Australia please apply now!
