This role sits within the Enterprise Records Management and Privacy Centre of Excellence and supports the delivery of records management and privacy initiatives across Westpac. You’ll support key streams of work with the opportunity to lead one key stream as Product Owner (paper records), supporting enterprise uplift initiatives such as retention, disposal, and protection of sensitive information. You’ll work closely with the Executive manager on delivery oversight, prioritisation, and execution, acting as a 2IC across the broader records and privacy program. You’ll work closely with business and technology teams to design, implement and embed records and privacy programs and supporting technologies, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, in line with policy, regulatory expectations, and best practice. You’ll make an impact by improving how information is governed at scale, while owning outcomes in a fast‑paced change environment. This is a fixed‑term role with a contract ending 30 September 2027, supporting the delivery of enterprise‑wide records management and privacy initiatives. Proven experience in records management and/or privacy, including implementing enterprise‑wide programs and technology solutions with digital overlay Experience working in or with government (state or federal) or the public sector is highly regarded Experience leading delivery streams, ideally with exposure to physical paper records and information lifecycle management Experience in product ownership or delivery roles, working in agile environments is advantageous Confidence using Jira and Confluence to manage delivery, prioritisation, and stakeholder visibility Commercial and risk mindset, balancing compliance, operational needs, and delivery outcomes.
