About the role Team Global Express is seeking a Linehaul Supervisor to join our Operations team based in Karawatha on Brisbane's Southside. This is a full-time permanent position (1pm Starts). The Linehaul Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily linehaul operations to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective, and on-time freight movements across our network. Key responsibilities Manage daily linehaul operations to ensure scheduled linehaul services meet network cut-off and departure times Plan, dispatch, and monitor linehaul runs to ensure compliance with service commitments and operational requirements Monitor and manage linehaul activities in real time, responding to delays, breakdowns, incidents, and network disruptions Ensure compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations Oversee driver fatigue management in accordance with Standard Hours, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), or Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM) requirements Act as the primary escalation point for linehaul service failures, missed connections, and exceptions Maximise utilisation of prime movers, trailers, and trailing equipment while controlling operational costs Ensure all linehaul documentation, including manifests, load plans, and run sheets, is completed accurately and on timeEnsure Dangerous Goods are transported in accordance with the Australian Dangerous Goods (ADG) Code Oversee daily vehicle pre-starts, defect reporting, and coordination of maintenance and repairs Liaise with depot operations, network planning, and customer service to align linehaul capacity with freight volumes Supervise and support linehaul drivers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to company policies and safe work practices Coordinate driver and contractor inductions in accordance with company and site requirements Prepare and maintain driver rosters, fatigue plans, and leave records Identify service, safety, and cost improvement opportunities across linehaul operations What you’ll bring Experience supervising or coordinating linehaul or heavy vehicle transport operations in Australia Ability to manage time-critical transport schedules and network operations Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly during operational disruptions Understanding of fleet utilisation, cost control, and transport performance measures Confident communication skills with the ability to engage drivers, depots, and stakeholders Computer literacy, including experience with transport or fleet management systems High level of numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail About Team Global Express Team Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
