Yard Person / Workshop Trade Assistant Location: Bayswater, VIC Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent Hours: Monday–Friday (standard workshop hours) Industry: Truck Trailer / Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing & Repair TRS Resourcing is partnering with a leading Australian manufacturer of truck tipper trailers to recruit a reliable and versatile Yard Person / Workshop Trade Assistant to join their busy workshop team in Bayswater, Victoria . About the Role: As an integral part of the workshop operations, you will support both yard functions and workshop activities to help keep the facility running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Maintain a tidy, organised and safe yard and workshop environment Safely load, unload and move trailers around the yard using a 12-tonne forklift Prepare materials, including cutting, punching and basic processing of steel components Assist tradespeople with mechanical and fabrication tasks as required Follow site safety procedures and contribute to a compliant workplace culture What We’re Looking For We are seeking dependable candidates who demonstrate initiative, a strong work ethic and the ability to work unsupervised. Essential Requirements Valid LF Forklift Licence – Mandatory (12-tonne forklift operation) Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist tradespeople Strong safety awareness and ability to follow protocols Based in Melbourne, Victoria, with the legal right to work in Australia Ability to provide contact details for two recent referees Previous experience in a workshop, yard, manufacturing or similar environment is highly regarded Why This Role?
