Job Title: Mechanical Fitter – Bunded Tanks & Fuel Tanker Equipment Location: Western Suburbs, Sydney, NSW Employment Type: Contract / Temporary (with potential for ongoing employment) Pay Rate: $62.50 per hour (Ordinary Time) Superannuation Additional Benefits: Weekly pay, overtime opportunities, $30 daily travel allowance About the Opportunity TRS Resourcing is recruiting multiple Qualified Mechanical Fitters for a well-established workshop in Sydney’s western suburbs. Our client is a recognised industry leader in the construction, servicing and maintenance of commercial fuel tanks (including bunded tanks), tanker trailers and prime movers. This workshop-based role focuses on servicing, rebuilding and commissioning industrial fuel pumping equipment and new tanker trailers . The successful candidates will join a dedicated day shift team where quality, safety and teamwork are priorities. Key Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Fitter in this role, you will: Service, rebuild and commission industrial fuel pumps and associated fuel systems Assemble and install pneumatic airlines, fittings, mounts and mechanical components Perform precision mechanical fitting and assembly of fuel tanker equipment Ensure all work meets applicable industry standards and road transport regulations Conduct final inspections, adjustments and functional testing of completed assemblies Read and interpret workshop drawings and technical documentation Work collaboratively within a team and proactively communicate issues and progress Your work will directly support the reliability and safety of the client’s fuel tanker fleet and specialised equipment. Skills & Requirements Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent qualification Demonstrated experience in servicing, rebuilding and commissioning industrial fuel pumps and fuel tanker systems Strong understanding of relevant mechanical standards and road transport requirements High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team Own basic tooling (specialist tools provided where required) Right to work in Australia What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate with superannuation Structured overtime with enhanced rates $30 per day travel allowance for eligible travel Weekly pay and efficient payroll processing Supportive workshop environment with clear processes Opportunity to further develop trade skills and industry expertise Pathway to Full-Time Employment TRS Resourcing has successfully placed several Mechanical Fitters with this client.
