Description Coordination, monitoring and implementation of all Health, Safety & Training requirements for the project, ensuring they meet the redpath's standards and all relevant legislative requirements. Responsibilities Always work in accordance with Redpath's principle of 'Safety - First, Last and Always' Establish training requirements each week with the relevant supervisors and ensure that the mine manager/foreman approvas training requests. Accompany injured workers to hospital and assist in the completion of paperwork. Assist in the facilitation of emergency drills. Check that the workplace inspection programme is functioning and that corrective actions arising from the inspections are closed out. Conduct both theory and practical assessments for the workforce as per matrix requirements Ensure that the maintenance department conduct machine systems training before completing practical assessments on machinery. Conduct Hazard identification and risk assessments as requirement to ensure all works are conducted in a safe manner to eliminate risk of injury to personnel and damage to equipment. Perform all tasks and duties in accordance with established work procedures, safety policies, rules and regulations. Attend and contribute at regular safety meetings Qualifications Certificate IV in occupational health and safety or equivalent. Certificate IV in Training and assessment. WA Driver's License - Class A Current first aid and CPR Qualification. Current working at heights qualification. Qualified or be able to become a qualified Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to work coordinator. Minimum 5 years of experience in a training and safety environment within the mining, construction or heavy industry.
