About The Opportunities We are seeking two full-time and one casual Collection Services Plant Operator to join our team. Help keep our community clean, safe, and sustainable by providing high‑quality waste collection services across the Bundaberg Region. In this hands‑on role, you’ll operate Council’s waste collection vehicles, complete daily collection routes, and support the delivery of essential services that locals rely on. You’ll also assist with bin maintenance, depot upkeep and community waste initiatives, playing an important role in the smooth running of our Waste & Recycling Services team. About You To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria: Hold a current HR class driver’s licence and maintain this throughout employment. Willing and able to work weekends and public holidays when required. Experienced in operating truck‑mounted waste compaction units, including dual‑control vehicles and bin‑lifting mechanisms. Confident operating single and dual‑axle trucks, with strong skills in pre‑start checks, safety practices, and basic maintenance. Knowledge of transport legislation, safe work procedures, and waste minimisation and recycling practices. A reliable team member with clear communication, sound literacy, and strong customer service and problem‑solving capability. Hold a valid White Card.
