About the Opportunity Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and leading a team of maintenance professionals, you will be accountable for the reliability, safety and performance of all plant, equipment, utilities, buildings and site services. As a senior leader, you will contribute to site strategy, drive continuous improvement and ensure site performance excellence in a complex food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead safe and reliable operation of all production machinery, utilities, buildings and site infrastructure Deliver maintenance strategies aligned to site targets for food safety, quality, cost and performance Lead and develop a high‑performing maintenance team Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, environmental, ISO and BRC standards Manage the maintenance and service of site environmental and trade waste systems Drive preventative maintenance, reliability improvement and asset lifecycle planning Support the introduction of new products, processes, plant and equipment Develop and deliver the annual operational plan and manage departmental budgets Champion LEAN, continuous improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives Build strong cross‑functional relationships across Production, Technical, Supply Chain, WHS and HR Actively role model Sanitarium’s values and a professional, ethical and performance‑based culture About You You are a hands‑on, people‑focused leader with strong technical capability and a passion for safety, reliability and continuous improvement. You are comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level and thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Bring Trade qualification (Electrical and/or Mechanical preferred) Qualification in Project management of business is highly desirable. Minimum 10 years’ experience in maintenance management within food or FMCG manufacturing Experience working in aseptic environments is highly desirable Proven experience leading teams, managing budgets and delivering results through others Strong working knowledge of engineering standards, HACCP, WHS and compliance requirements Experience leading capital projects and major change initiatives Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills A collaborative, values‑aligned leadership style Why Join Sanitarium?
