Registered Nurse – Immunisations Casual Opportunity – Hobart, Tasmania NurseLine, is proud to partner with the City of Hobart to recruit experienced Registered Nurses for casual immunisation roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses passionate about public health and preventative care to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of Hobart and surrounding communities. About the Role As a Registered Nurse Immuniser, you will work closely with the Health Promotion Coordinator to deliver safe and effective immunisation services. Shifts are offered based on service needs, with preference given to those available on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month and for school immunisation programs held twice yearly. Your responsibilities will include: Administering a range of vaccinations to adults, children, and infants, supporting nervous or anxious clients with empathy and professionalism. Reviewing international vaccination records and determining appropriate catch-up schedules. Ensuring validity of consent and assessing individual suitability for immunisation. Responding to medical emergencies, including administering adrenaline when required. Managing cold chain protocols and monitoring first aid emergency equipment. Attendance of an annual performance meeting with the Health Promotion Coordinator and Manager of Environmental Health. About You Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and the Nursing Board of Australia Department of Health (DoH) Approved Immuniser with valid certification. Current CPR certification. Minimum 2 years’ continuous experience as an immuniser. Knowledge or experience with the Vitavo Immunisation and Diagnostic Management Platform.
