McCorkell Pastoral Co. is seeking a motivated team player for a Farm Hand position. This role is based on a 1,100ha property located just ten minutes from Hamilton. Livestock numbers include 7,000 Lamb Pro and Merino ewes, and 180 Black Angus cattle. We utilise modern machinery and infrastructure, and are looking for someone invested in learning all aspects of a mixed farming enterprise, including pasture renovation and grazing management. In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day health and productivity of the farm, including monitoring stock health and movements, which are essential for our large-scale sheep and cattle operations. Our client is looking for an individual with a strong willingness to learn who can take on responsibilities ranging from stock movements to operating modern machinery, including tractors, seed drills, and spray units. The company values progression, and would encourage an Agricultural Traineeship for the right candidate, who will be supported in gaining essential certifications, such as a Chemical Certification or Lifetime Ewe Management.
