About the Role As Coordinator Community Wellbeing, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team spanning Community Strengthening, Social Policy, Positive Ageing and Youth Services , driving intergenerational and intersectional outcomes that respond to the needs of a diverse community. You will work closely with senior leaders, Councillors and key stakeholders to help set Council’s strategic direction, translate policy into action and deliver on priority community outcomes. This role balances high-level strategic thinking with strong operational leadership, ensuring services are evidence-based, equitable and high impact. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Community Wellbeing unit comprising of Community Strengthening, Social Policy, Positive Ageing and Youth Services teams. Drive evidence-based social policy, planning and service design Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team and build a culture of excellence Contribute to Council’s strategic plans and ensure delivery of key community priorities Oversee major programs, including: Community grants and commissioning Community volunteering Advisory committees and community groups’ engagement Community capacity building and partnerships Community information and referral services for older and younger people Social policy, research and planning Community services and facilities such as Neighbourhood and Community Houses, Seniors Centres and Box Hill Town Hall Community Hub Build strong partnerships with community organisations, service providers and government agencies Monitor outcomes, performance and impact to ensure continuous improvement and optimal service delivery About You You are a collaborative and strategic leader with a strong commitment to community wellbeing and social equity.
