The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking an APS Level 6 Hardware Deployment Coordinator to oversee the planning and delivery of IT hardware across the department. This role manages device deployment for new starters, office fit-outs and major site activities, ensuring hardware is configured, secure and compliant. The position coordinates logistics, schedules work, supports hardware asset management and maintains accurate equipment records. Working closely with operational and support teams, the role helps manage refresh cycles, repairs, replacements and usage monitoring. Strong ICT service delivery experience, customer service capability and formal IT qualifications are highly desirable. The key duties of the position include Coordinating the rollout of IT hardware to staff, ensuring all equipment is correctly installed, configured and compliant with current security and departmental requirements. Planning and scheduling deployment activities, including organising logistics and resources across multiple sites such as regional offices, portfolio agencies and ministerial locations. Managing communication between teams, monitoring progress and resolving issues promptly to minimise disruption to staff and business operations. Ensuring all deployment activities comply with departmental policies, procedures and legislative obligations, supported by clear and up to date documentation. Conducting regular audits and reconciliations of physical IT equipment and asset records to maintain accuracy and accountability. Supporting hardware asset management across the full lifecycle-from procurement and allocation through to repairs, replacements and disposal-ensuring records and processes meet departmental standards. Working collaboratively with the IT Operations Management Section, IT Service Desk, Field Services and Security teams to maintain consistent and aligned asset management practices. Monitoring hardware usage to identify under utilised or incorrectly allocated devices, supporting effective refresh cycles, upgrades and capacity planning. Managing processes relating to office fit outs, hardware refresh programs and other major deployment activities. Regularly reviewing and updating documentation and procedures to ensure they remain current with changes in the IT environment.
