While the broader Legal Services Team supports ASIC's role as an effective regulator, the Summary Prosecution team specifically handles matters such as failures to assist liquidators, obtain director identification numbers, and lodge statutory accounts, providing advice and support on criminal investigations and ensuring effective prosecution outcomes. The key duties of the position include The role In this role as a Prosecution Assistant , you'll play a key part in supporting ASIC's summary regulatory and criminal matters. You'll help prepare summary regulatory prosecutions, engage confidently with witnesses and members of the public, and ensure the information gathered is accurate and reliable. By providing strong paralegal support, you'll contribute directly to delivering effective regulatory outcomes and strengthening ASIC's enforcement work. You'll also take responsibility for compiling accurate criminal briefs of evidence, assisting with court proceedings, and ensuring all actions and results are correctly recorded in ASIC databases to maintain transparency and efficiency.
