The key duties of the position include The Role Our Senior Project Officers play a lead role in planning, developing and delivering high value and highly complex facilities and infrastructure project. Working alongside a Project Director, they are responsible for conducting a range of client-side project management functions across administration, financial management, procurement, contract management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities. These include, but are not limited to, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and assisting to report expenditure; collecting, analysing and reporting project data; reviewing and responding to contract notices; responding to taskings; preparing procurement documentation; procuring and managing industry; and engaging stakeholders such a policy owners and facility users. About our Team Security and Estate Group's (SEG) Capital Facilities and Infrastructure Branch (CFI) is responsible for planning, developing and delivering capital works projects across the Defence estate. These projects: Address condition, capacity and compliance issues across Defence facilities and infrastructure including airfields, wharves, in-ground engineering services and buildings; and Provides new and/or refurbished facilities and infrastructure to support new platforms, systems and equipment such as naval ships and army vehicles. Our CFI Project Teams are responsible for a number of assigned projects. They conduct a range of client-side project management-related activities to progress project objectives. These include engaging stakeholders, preparing project plans, conducting reporting and governance activities, conducting financial management activities, obtaining project approvals, procuring industry, and administering industry contracts as they design, cost and construct approved works.
