Description Greatness Starts Here In this unique position, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing success of DPV Health as a Senior Occupational Therapist specialising in Adult Neurodevelopmental and Psychosocial Disabilities. As a member of the Adult Occupational Therapy team, your primary focus will be to enhance and expand DPV Health’s capacity to provide high-quality Occupational Therapy services to clients in the community, through the development and delivery of a specialist Occupational Therapy service specifically targeting the areas of neurodevelopmental and psychosocial disabilities. Key Responsibilities Leading targeted engagement initiatives with external stakeholders to promote the specialist Occupational Therapy service. This will involve actively working to increase referrals to the Occupational Therapy team for clients with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial disabilities. Developing, establishing, and ensuring the sustainability of a service offering within the wider Occupational Therapy team to support clients with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial disabilities. Meeting productivity targets in line with organisational expectations to ensure the ongoing viability and sustainability of the service model. Providing high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention for adult clients with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial disabilities. Managing an individual clinical caseload, which includes delivering both community-based and centre-based assessments and interventions to help clients maintain or improve their functional abilities and independence, consistent with their NDIS goals. Contributing to DPV Health’s Health and Wellbeing Program by working within a multi-disciplinary framework. Delivering training and support to internal Occupational Therapists and Allied Health Assistants in the specialist area of practice, as required. Providing in-person training for external Occupational Therapists in these specialist areas Adult Neurodevelopmental and Psychosocial Disability specialisationand collaborating with local OT providers to offer training opportunities. Skills And Experiences Bring Your Great, Everyday To be successful in this role you will bring: Qualifications Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy Current registration with AHPRA Postgraduate training in Disability is desirable, or equivalent experience. Skills and Experience Service Delivery You have significant experience as a senior Occupational Therapist, with a strong background in the psychosocial and neurodevelopmental disability sector, regularly conducting OT assessments and interventions. Your highly developed clinical skills and track record of fostering coordinated stakeholder partnerships has led to the achievement of agreed health outcomes for clients. Your planning, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, evidence-based clinical services is exemplary. You enjoy supporting community-based NDIS clients with neurodevelopmental or psychosocial disabilities in achieving their goals, and you bring previous experience working as an OT in a community setting, including with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Communication and Interpersonal Approach You work successfully within an inter-professional framework and a collegiate manner, possessing excellent communication ability, and strong interpersonal skills, employing appropriate tools to establish constructive rapport with clients from a wide range of cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. You are proficient in connecting effectively with diverse audiences in an informative, engaging, and persuasive manner, and demonstrate a proven capability in writing clear, concise, and informative reports. Additional Skills and Knowledge Sound business and commercial acumen relevant to the NDIS sector. Excellent understanding of the funding changes impacting the NDIS sector. Experience working in a community setting is preferred. The fine print Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Clearance check. Full driver license and travel between DPV Health sites required.
