About the Role Provide expert guidance to ensure organisational alignment with the NDIS Practice Standards, internal governance frameworks, and external regulatory obligations. This advisory role supports strategic decision-making and continuous improvement by influencing policy development, audit readiness, and risk mitigation strategies that underpin high-quality, person-centred disability services Key responsibilities Policy Development Advise on developing and refining organisational policies to ensure regulatory alignment and operational relevance Provide expert analysis on policy gaps and recommend evidence-based improvements. Governance and Compliance Provide advice on compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators. Advise on risk mitigation strategies related to policy implementation. Audit and Compliance Interpret audit findings and advise on continuous improvement priorities Advise on the scope and methodology of NDIS audits Support audit teams in identifying systemic risks and recommending corrective action What we need from you Experience in disability, health or community services sector In-depth knowledge and experience in the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators, and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills Experience with audit tools, risk registers, and incident management systems (e.g., Lumary, Solv) is highly desirable Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
