Business Partner – People & Culture Location: Prison Services – Derrimut Classification: HS7 Pay Range: $122,106 plus Super and Benefits At Forensicare, we work at the intersection of mental health and justice, delivering specialised services across inpatient, community and secure environments. In this role, you’ll be embedded as a key partner to our Prisons directorate, supporting leaders across all operational areas. You’ll play a critical role in shaping culture, strengthening capability and driving safe, fair and contemporary workforce practices where they matter most. What You’ll Do As a trusted P&C Business Partner, you’ll be the first call for leaders seeking practical, confident advice. You will: Provide expert guidance on complex people matters, applying industrial instruments, legislation and policy consistently. Coach leaders across Prisons operations to build capability, manage risk and resolve issues early. Support the design, review and maintenance of PDs aligned to capability frameworks and workforce demand. Bring P&C insight to organisational reform, change planning and workforce transitions. Strengthen relationships across the Prisons directorate to ensure coordinated, high‑quality P&C service delivery. Drive compliance, quality and continuous improvement across P&C systems and processes. Champion psychologically safe, inclusive and values‑aligned practices throughout the Prisons workforce. You’ll operate with strong judgement and autonomy, triaging matters to P&C specialists where required to ensure a seamless employee experience. About You You’re an experienced P&C generalist who thrives on complexity and partnership. You bring: Tertiary qualifications in HR/ER/Business or equivalent experience. Strong experience interpreting industrial agreements and employment legislation. Demonstrated capability advising on sensitive and complex people matters. Excellent influencing, communication and relationship‑building skills. Ability to balance competing priorities and operate confidently in fast‑paced environments. A values‑driven, solutions‑focused mindset with high professional integrity. Experience in healthcare or other complex, regulated settings (desirable).
