As a MENS Program Counsellor, you will provide therapeutic support and education to individuals who use family violence. You will also offer counselling and liaison services to their partners or ex-partners. Your role will involve facilitating educational workshops and group sessions, collaborating with external agencies, and working towards achieving program goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing administrative tasks and representing Relationships Australia Tasmania at various events. Do you fit the bill Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent tertiary qualification recognised for delivering therapeutic counselling services. Demonstrated experience in providing counselling, case management, and support services, particularly in relation to family violence. Proven skills in psychoeducation, trauma-informed counselling, and general counselling, with the ability to work effectively with clients and families who have experienced abuse or trauma. Knowledge and understanding of family violence support services, or the ability to acquire this knowledge. Excellent communication and engagement skills, capable of working with clients from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Not sure if you fit the bill?
