Introduction Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry. As our Training Officer based at Burleigh Heads, you’ll play a key role in how we induct, train and develop our people across the site. You’ll design and deliver engaging on-the-job and classroom-style training, run site inductions, and make sure our teams have the right skills, work instructions and support to do their jobs safely and effectively. You’ll also own the training records and LMS administration, keep an eye on expiries and audit requirements, and work closely with Production, QA, Safety and People & Culture to identify training needs and lift capability across the site. Description Your new day-to-day: Deliver engaging on-the-job, refresher and classroom-based training across site teams. Facilitate first-day site inductions and onboarding for new starters. Develop, update and issue Safe Work Instructions and training materials. Conduct training needs analysis in partnership with Production, QA, Safety and PC. Coordinate and maintain training plans, calendars and schedules. Administer the LMS, update training records and monitor expiry dates. Prepare for customer, regulatory and internal audits in the training space. Complete competency assessments and sign off training against role requirements. Maintain accurate training matrices and personnel training files. Support leaders to identify team members for upskilling and development. Track and report on training activities, hours and completion status. Recommend improvements to induction, training content and record-keeping processes. Skills And Experiences What you’ll need: Experience designing and delivering training in a manufacturing, production, FMCG or similar hands-on operational environment. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and how to adapt your approach to different learning styles. Confidence facilitating group sessions and 1:1 coaching, with clear, practical written and verbal communication skills. Solid administration skills, including maintaining accurate training records, matrices and documentation. Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) for training records; exposure to building online content is a bonus. Comfortable using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) in your day-to-day work. Strong time management, with the ability to juggle multiple training priorities, shifts and deadlines. An easy-going, collaborative style, able to work in a multicultural team and build rapport across Production, QA, Safety and PC. A confident, outgoing personality with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A proactive mindset, keen to improve training materials, processes and the overall learner experience. TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desired, not essential if you bring solid practical training experience). Flexibility to work across different shifts at times to support early-morning inductions and pre-shift training.
