Our mission is to facilitate accessible battery recycling services for consumers in metropolitan and regional areas of Australia. In joining the BSC, you join a very small and highly motivated team of self-directed individuals working in partnership to build an innovative and effective national Stewardship Scheme for batteries. The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic person to support the organisation as we move from voluntary framework to a regulated environment. Your key responsibility will be driving scheme participation and revenue growth by securing the long-term participation of levy paying partners. As someone with a passion for environment and sustainability, you will collaborate with BSC team members and the wider industry, to expand the B-cycle network with a primary focus on in-scope corporate manufacturers, importers and retail partners in the context of a unique and evolving Scheme. Your responsibilities will include: Driving growth in scheme participation by proactively making contact and fostering relationships with suppliers of batteries and battery products, specifically those obligated to contribute levies. Creating and implementing plans based on industry analysis to secure importer/supply chain participation. Liaising with levy payers and management partners to improve tracking and reporting of market participation, import data, and financial reporting. About you As both a 'big picture' thinker and a hands on implementer, you have proven experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs. You are a highly skilled commuicator with ability to influence at all levels - including executive, and are excited at the opportunity to work with a high calibre team on a unique industry solution. To be successful, you will have 5 years of experience in the environmental and/or technology, retail or wholesale sectors: Sales and/or Business Development Management ideally with environmental management, sustainability or circular economy focus Account management and stakeholder management Records management in a virtual environment Knowledge of the technology or battery industries and/or experience in a membership based environment is preferred but not essential. As a professional, your skill set includes: Delivery of exceptional outcomes in a virtual team environment Ability to create and build relationships necessary to secure participation Confidence, patience and kindness in communication, especially to external partners learning about B-cycle Relationship management, tracking, spreadsheet management and data analysis High-quality documentation and communication tools. including the provision of clear and compelling information sheets, project updates, briefing notes, reports, etc Project management including tracking and reporting accountabilities in a manner that can be used for external communications. The management team operates using collaborative decision-making processes and empowers team members to show initiative and leadership in their areas of responsibility. In addition, team members are encouraged to contribute to other strategic discussions and projects and participate in planning of mission critical activities. This is full time, salaried role. You will be operating in a remote virtual environment but from time to time, in person meetings with our partners in Sydney and Melbourne will be required.
