DTG Talent Solutions are currently recruiting a full time permanent qualified Boilermaker/Fabricator who will be primarily responsible for manufacturing structural assemblies and accessories and other engineering components. The successful candidates will be able to interpret drawings and fabricate and repair engineering components and structures and accurately weld to a high standard. Day to day you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge, good communications, and Boilermaking Trade experience to: Interpret engineering drawings, symbols and instructions to correctly prepare, measure, mark-out, cut, and fabricate components, structures and assemblies as per approved welding procedures and codes. Fabrication and repair of balustrading, stairs, ladders and the like. Carry out quality work both autonomously and collaboratively with a minimum of supervision. Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Carry out isolation procedures and work in accordance with work permits. Identify and report any safety hazards or environmental issues. Maintain welding equipment ensuring a safe, clean workplace. Preferably you will have: Experience working with carbon and stainless-steel, aluminium and other materials. Previous work having passed RT (Radiographic X-Ray Test), UT (Ultrasonic Test), MPT (Magnetic Particle Test) or DPT (Dye Penetrant Test). Experience with MIG and stick welding required, TIG & Flux Core are highly regarded. Additional certificates in confined space, EWP, forklift, HRW - rigging or dogging, and working at heights are highly regarded. Previous certification as a coded welder is also highly regarded. To be successful in this role you will need: Trade qualifications in Boilermaking, such as Cert III Heavy Fabrication, or higher. Heavy fabrication experience - structural, pipe and plate, both on site and in the workshop. Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders. To be able to work overtime if required.
