Our client is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to take ownership of tender pricing across a growing portfolio, with a primary focus on civil construction and school projects. This is a Toowoomba-based, office-based role with no travel required. ABN holders are welcome to apply. This opportunity would suit: An experienced estimator looking for autonomy and meaningful projects A highly experienced carpenter or site professional ready to step off the tools into estimating A semi-retired industry professional wanting to stay involved in projects in a commercially focused, lower-impact role The Role You will be responsible for: Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil and construction tenders (schools and associated infrastructure) Reviewing drawings, specifications and scopes of work Managing subcontractor pricing, take-offs and comparative analysis Completing tender submissions from concept through to award Working closely with management and project delivery teams Contributing to value engineering and commercial strategy Supporting projects from estimating through to construction once secured About You: Strong hands-on construction experience (estimating background preferred but not essential) Solid understanding of civil/building methodology and pricing Confidence engaging with subcontractors and suppliers High attention to detail with commercial awareness Ability to work independently and take ownership of tenders Practical mindset with clear communication skill Why Join Our Client?
