We are seeking a Supervisor Road Services - Lines Signs Restorations and Asphalt to lead our Road Services team. Purpose: Lead activities of staff and contractors involved in the maintenance of Council’s roads, and lines and signs with an emphasis on the provision of a quality, safe, attractive and accessible public domain. To manage road services activities associated with potholes, heavy patching, signs, and lines, and ensure accurate and timely responses to customer requests and ensure public safety. About the role: Some of the things you will do are: Investigate maintenance requests from the public and determine an appropriate course of action. Monitor reactive maintenance requests to ensure that they are allocated to the relevant work teams and contractors and are completed to the specified standards within the required timeframes. Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and Council policy, code of conduct, requirements and standards in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety rehabilitation, and environmental protection. Encourage a focus on quality customer service responsive to the needs of the community. Train, develop and motivate staff to ensure that the team’s objectives are effectively and efficiently achieved. About you: Qualification in an engineering related discipline and/or extensive experience in a supervision role. Certificate IV in Frontline Management and/or extensive experience in a supervision role. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role in Road Space Management. Experience with dealing with contractors, and road management authorities.
