We are seeking to hire two Casual-Seasonal operators for the roles of Seeding Operator and Spreading Operator. The available positions will work across our Farms in Newdegate and Ravensthorpe. Newdegate is a townsite in the Wheatbelt agricultural region, 399 km south-east of Perth and 52 km east of Lake Grace in Western Australia. Ravensthorpe at the southern end of this farming is a town 541 km south-east of Perth and 40 km inland from the south coast of Western Australia. Both positions are for immediate commencement About the roles This opportunity provides you with hands-on experience in driving and operating agricultural machinery during peak seeding season while working alongside a team of experienced agronomists and farmers. Seeding Operator: 1. Operate agricultural machinery and equipment, primarily seeding equipment. 2. Inspecting, cleaning, and conducting routine maintenance of farm equipment. 3. Adjusting equipment settings for optimal performance under guidance. 4. Following all safety regulations and operational procedures. 5. Maintain records of seeding activities. Spreading Operator : 1. Operate spreading equipment to apply required inputs according to seeding plans. 2. Conducting routine inspections, cleaning and preventative maintenance 3. Calibrating and adjusting machinery to achieve correct application rates and distribution. 4. Transporting and loading materials safely and efficiently to support seeding/spreading operations 5. Ad hering to record keeping and safety protocols and guidelines. What you will bring to the role 1. Prior experience in performing farm-related duties, particularly operating machinery (seeding rigs, spreading equipment, tractors, trucks). 2. A current driver's license. 3. Physical fitness to perform strenuous tasks and work in all weather conditions. 4. A solid understanding of basic machinery maintenance. 5. Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team and show initiative when necessary. 6. Willingness to commit to flexible hours during the seeding season, including weekends. 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations. 8. Strong commitment to safety and operational protocols. What's on offer 1.
